IV. MAYOR’S REPORT
A. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is this Saturday starting at 1 p.m. in Downtown Lemont.
B. Our Art and Culture Commission is hosting a “Gifted Gala” on March 18 at the Lithuanian
World Center Art Museum which includes a juried exhibit with over 25 artists,
entertainment, door prizes and more. Visit the Lemont Center for the Arts Facebook page
for details.
C. The Mayor’s State of the Village Address will be held this Thursday. You can visit the
Chamber’s website to register. For those that can’t make it, it will be rebroadcast on
Channel 6 and be available on YouTube at a later date.
D. This year’s Heritage Quarry Restoration Event will be on April 29 and you can register for
that through our Village Facebook page. We are especially in need of Crew Leaders for the
shifts which are at 8 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.

A. Budget discussion had been underway previously, tonight core discussion will continue.
March 13 and 27 discussion are the Public Hearing dates for the Budget. Packet for Budget

A. Police Department
1. Chief Maton spoke regarding current phone/email scams. Residents have reported
callers claiming to be from the Sherriff’s Department calling about Jury Duty and
money pertaining to it. No Police Agency will call and ask for money by phone.
Reports have also been noted regarding “IRS” calls and emails that have been received.
These callers ask the resident to validate that it is ok to file. The IRS would never call or
request money via the phone or an email.
