Alice Beci, 95, Remembered for Her Love of Family and Community Service

Alice M. Beci | Richard J. Modell Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Homer Glen

Alice Beci, nee Fabrie, aged 95, passed away peacefully at home on October 25, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Victor and the loving mother of Thomas (Nancy) Beci, Vicki (David) Beci Sturms, Mark (Jodi) Beci, and the late Donald Beci. Alice was the devoted grandmother of Scott (Kat) Beci, Amanda (Tony) Fairbanks, Jenna Beci, Austyn Beci, Broderick Sturms, Jessica (Matthew D’Astice) Sturms, Stephen Sturms, Alexandra (Chris) Schremser, Michael (Elyse) Beci, and Nicolas (Daisy) Beci. She was also the great-grandmother of Chloe, Sabrina, James, Chase, Easton, Summer, and Harrison. Alice was the cherished daughter of the late Frank and Adele Fabbri and the dear sister of several late siblings. She was also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 1st from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at RICHARD J. MODELL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES; 12641 W. 143rd St, Homer Glen, proceeding to St. Bernard Church; 13030 W. 143rd St, Homer Glen for Mass at 11:30 am. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum of the Archangels.

Alice was a proud member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Homer Seniors Social Club. She enjoyed dancing, golfing, bowling, and gardening. She and her late husband, Vic, shared a love of travel and hosting grandchildren. Alice had a passion for reading, bridge, crossword puzzles, and knitting. In her later years, she made lasting friendships at Peace Village.

Alice's career included being a Jr. Correspondent for Rotary International and working as an Executive Secretary at Standard Oil. She also managed an office for a Certified Life Underwriter while supporting her children through college.
