Construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Cedar Road and Haven Avenue is set to begin around the week of April 21, 2025. The project will block thru traffic at the intersection once work commences. According to the announcement, detour signage will be placed by the contractor to direct northbound and southbound vehicles onto Illinois Highway, Nelson Road, and Route 30. For eastbound and westbound travel, detours will include Prairie Road, Route 30, and Vine Street.
Local residents will still have access to their properties during construction. The project is expected to be completed in fall 2025.
