The City of Joliet Committee on Citizens with Disabilities is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM. The meeting will take place in the Council Chambers on the second floor of Joliet City Hall, located at 150 West Jefferson Street.

The agenda includes roll call and approval of minutes from the June 17, 2025 meeting. There will be a period for citizens to speak about items listed on the agenda. Each speaker will have a maximum of four minutes, and comments should be directed toward agenda topics. According to meeting procedures, this segment is not intended as a question-and-answer session; committee members and staff typically do not respond during this time. The presiding officer may call to order any speaker who disrupts the meeting.

The committee will discuss updates regarding a Disability Pride Event, progress on the ADA Transition Plan, and consider forming a research group. These topics are scheduled for discussion only and are not up for final action or recommendation at this meeting.

There will also be an opportunity for public comment on non-agenda items under similar rules as earlier in the meeting.

For those unable to attend in person, comments can be emailed in advance to publiccomment@joliet.gov.

The city states that the meeting location is accessible. Individuals needing reasonable accommodations are encouraged to contact the City Clerk's Office at (815) 724-3780 or visit Joliet City Hall at 150 West Jefferson Street.
