Joliet, IL – The City of Joliet has announced that as part of the Plainfield Road Water Main Improvement Project, new pavement will be constructed at the Six Corners intersection involving Plainfield Road / Black Road and Ruby Street / N. Raynor Avenue. The construction work is set to begin on the morning of Monday, June 9th and is expected to conclude by Monday, June 23rd.
During this period, one lane of traffic in each direction on Plainfield Road and Black Rd / Ruby St. will remain open. However, all traffic on Raynor Avenue at the Six Corners intersection will be closed off with a detour in place for the duration of the construction. Drivers are advised to consider alternative routes while the work is ongoing.
"We appreciate your patience and ask that you drive slowly and cautiously through any construction zone," stated city officials.
