An avid golfer and two-time hole-in-one celebrator, Jerry enjoyed spending time on the golf course and cherished moments at his Florida home with family and friends. He was also known for his love of outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and tending to his tractor. Above all, Jerry was a devoted provider and a source of strength and dedication to his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, and a brother-in-law, Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Janet, his four children, their spouses, 11 grandchildren, one sister, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cherished family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Lightways Hospice or the Ace Hardware Foundation benefiting Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago in Jerry's honor are welcomed.
Visitation will be held on Thursday at O'Neil Funeral Home in Lockport, with a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Joliet. Interment will follow the Mass at Seward Mound Cemetery in Kendall County. Jerry will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his love and dedication to his family and his zest for outdoor adventures.
