WILMINGTON — Kristine Lopez, 72, of Wilmington, formerly of Burbank, passed away at her home on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Born in Chicago on January 6, 1953, she was the daughter of Charles and June (King) Swanson.

Kristine spent over 20 years working as a machine operator with BorgWarner before retiring. She enjoyed outdoor activities such as canoe racing and fishing, and cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Romano; grandsons Derrick, Anthony, Jacob, and Nathaniel Romano; sister Bonnie Miller; brother Chuck Swanson; and several nieces and nephews. Kristine was preceded in death by her parents, son Martin Peterson, and sister Cyndi Swanson.

Cremation arrangements have been made, and a memorial visitation and celebration of Kristine's life will take place at Baskerville Funeral Home in Wilmington on March 22, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
