The City of Joliet Committee on Citizens with Disabilities is scheduled to convene on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 1:00 PM. The meeting will take place in the Council Chambers located on the second floor of Joliet City Hall, 150 West Jefferson Street, Joliet, Illinois.

For those unable to attend in person, comments can be submitted via email before the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov.

The agenda includes a roll call and approval of minutes from meetings held on March 18 and April 15, 2025. A designated time for citizens to address agenda items is provided. Speakers are allocated up to four minutes each. However, this period does not include a question and answer session; responses from staff and committee members are not customary.

New or old business items up for discussion but not for final action include emergency procedures for weather and special events as they relate to disabled citizens by John Lukancic from the City of Joliet. Other topics involve updates on the Communications Department pamphlet and information about the July Disability Fair.

There is also a section reserved for public comment on non-agenda items with similar speaking time limits and procedural rules as those applied to agenda item discussions.

This meeting location is accessible. Anyone requiring reasonable accommodations should contact The City Clerk Office at 150 West Jefferson Street, Joliet, Illinois 60432 or call (815) 724-3780.
