Thomas Terfler, 78, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Ascension Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. He is survived by his wife Crystal Terfler, children Nicole Warchol and Stephen Terfler, grandchildren Tristan Terfler, Max Warchol, Lauren Warchol, Mitchell Warchol, and Mia Terfler, sister Adrene Terfler, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Known for his love of fishing and hunting, particularly in Wisconsin and Lake Sarah in Illinois, Thomas had a passion for gardening vegetables, with tomatoes being a highlight. An active member of the Izaac Walton League of America, he enjoyed spending time outdoors. A devoted fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs, Thomas held long-time season tickets for the Bears.

A visitation for Thomas will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in Frankfort on Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. A brief visitation will take place the next day at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m.
