Ruth E. Hopson, age 99, of Mokena, passed away on December 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Merrell and is survived by her children Phyllis Stanton, Russell Hopson, and Joyce Egan, along with grandchildren Paige Usher, Thomas Egan, and Russell Egan, and great-grandchild Veda Usher. Ruth, born on October 2, 1925, was known for her joy in family gatherings and planning wonderful parties. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, with a Funeral Service to follow at Vandenberg Funeral Home in Mokena. Private interment will take place at Cedar Park Cemetery on Monday, December 16, 2024. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
