Mokena, IL - William "Bill" A. McGowan, a proud U.S. Air Force veteran and dedicated member of Local 1 Ironworkers, passed away on November 10, 2024, at the age of 62. Bill, known for his strong work ethic and craftsmanship, leaves behind a legacy of devotion to his family and profession.

Survived by his wife, Marie McGowan, and daughter Anna, Bill was the son of Bridget and the late Frank McGowan. He is fondly remembered by his siblings Tom (Kathy) McGowan, Rob (Laurel) McGowan, and Bridget (Jerry) Rickert, as well as his late brother Jim McGowan and late brother Frank (Annie) McGowan. Bill will also be missed by his brothers-in-law Joe, Jim, and Paul Mikos, and Andrea (Ed Lupia) Flynn, and his many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A private celebration of Bill McGowan's life will be held for family and friends, with cremation rites entrusted to Vandenberg Funeral Home, Mokena.
