Carrie F. Nelson, 57, of Peotone, passed away at her home on Friday, October 11, 2024. Born on January 20, 1967, in Dekalb, IL, she is survived by her husband, Michael Nelson, daughters Jessica and Micaela Nelson, mother Carolyn Elliott, brother Corey (Hyun-joo) Elliot, sister Corinne (Denise) Elliott Pritchard, nephews Mason Kriss, Brion Kriss, and Ben Elliott, and nieces Caitlin Elliott and Jennifer Kriss. She was predeceased by her father, Clissold B. Elliott, and sister Christina (Elliott) Kriss.

A visitation will be held at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Deacon Jim Kelly. Parking will be available at Christ Community Church, with access to the funeral home through the back door. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family's chosen memorials.
