Lawrence P. "Larry" Budzinski, 87, of Joliet IL, Passes Away Surrounded by Family

Lawrence P. "Larry" Budzinski, aged 87, from Joliet, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 11, 2024. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, George R. Budzinski and Emilia "Milly" Budzinski, and brother Jerome F. Budzinski.

He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy Lee Budzinski, and a loving father to Julie Anderson, Dan Budzinski, and ToniLynn Gibson. Larry was also a cherished grandfather to Anthony and Alex Gibson, and Kyle and Ryan Pearce. He is survived by his sister Georgia Schneider, brother-in-law LaNora Lukanich, and loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Larry proudly served in the US Army and had a fulfilling career in retail sales, public service, and music. He was a prominent figure in the local community, known for his love of antique cars and involvement in various organizations. Larry will be remembered for his zest for life and unwavering support for his grandchildren.

The family extends their gratitude to the caregivers for their compassion and care. A visitation for Lawrence will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, followed by a memorial service at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in New Lenox, IL. Interment with Military Honors at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Joliet will follow on Friday, October 18, 2024.

Lawrence P. "Larry" Budzinski will be remembered for his dedication, love, and joy he brought to those around him.
