Drew A. Fillak, age 69, of Manteno, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee. He is survived by his brother, Dr. Douglas Fillak, niece, and nephews, along with several cousins.

Born on June 15, 1955, in Erie, PA, Drew was recognized for his achievements in the Boy Scouts of America, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout at a young age. He was an active participant in the scouting community and a dedicated ice hockey defenseman. Drew was also a 32nd Degree Free Mason Scottish Rite member and a lifetime National Eagle Scout Association member.

A world traveler and avid collector, Drew had a passion for music, books, and memorabilia. Known for his compassion and caring nature, he leaves behind a legacy of kindness and will be deeply missed by family and friends.

A funeral service for Drew will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in Frankfort, IL, with interment scheduled for November 2, 2024, at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Erie, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations to the National Eagle Scout Association Scholarship fund or the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
