Norman W. Suelflow Jr., Veteran and Devoted Family Man, Passes Away at 77

Norman W. Suelflow Jr. | Wandenberg Funeral Home Mokena

Norman W. Suelflow Jr., aged 77, of Mokena, IL, passed away peacefully at home on October 7, 2024. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1966-1969 with honors, including the Navy Commendation Medal. Norman, known as "Stormin" Norman, was devoted to his family and was a skilled pipefitter with Pipefitters Local 597 until his retirement in 2007. He enjoyed woodworking, volunteering with the Boy Scouts, and spending time with his family. Norman is survived by his wife Beth, daughters Kristine and Carrie, grandchildren, great-grandson, and other loving family members.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Vandenberg Funeral Home in Mokena. The Chapel Service will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the same location, followed by interment at St. John's Cemetery in Mokena with military honors. Donations can be made in Norman's memory to the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Squad or American Legion Post #935 - Honor Guard.
