Superintendent Doug Wernet | Frankfort School District 157-C
Frankfort School District 157-C Superintendent Doug Wernet informed the Board of Education that "Meet and Greets" will be held on Aug. 21, with the first day of school for students on the following day. Wernet shared his report during the board's June 18 meeting.
According to the approved 2024-2025 school calendar in the June 18 Board of Education agenda packet, schools will release students an hour early on Dec. 20 to get a head start on the Winter Break, which begins on Dec. 23 and ends Friday, Jan. 3.
Spring Break will start on Monday, March 31, 2025, and end on Friday, April 4, 2025. Schools again will release an hour early on the school day preceding the break, which is Friday, March 28, 2025.
Holidays during which students will not attend school include Labor Day (Sept. 2), Columbus Day (Oct. 14), Election Day (Nov. 5), Thanksgiving (Nov. 27-29), Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 20, 2025), President's Day (Feb. 17, 2025), Good Friday (April 18), April 21, and Memorial Day (May 26, 2025).
The school year is scheduled to end on June 3, 2025.
