The Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) has reported an increase in the state's unemployment rate. According to preliminary data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the unemployment rate rose by 0.2 percentage points to 4.6 percent, while nonfarm payrolls decreased by 15,000 in October.
