BOARD APPROVAL ON CHANGES FOR NEW HIRING LIST FOR JOLIET POLICE
Discussion on need for changes in the hiring process for Joliet Police. Chief Evans, D/C
Blackburn and D/C Brown all spoke on the difficulty of acquiring an adequate number of candidates in current times.
They asked for approval to create a duel hiring list (new hires and lateral both) to be certain the citizen's needs are always addressed. This could be done by hiring lateral officers when academy timing does not coordinate with demand for officers on the force. Further conversation is pending prior to decisions by the Board.

Motion by Lukancic and second by Stefanski to enter Closed Session for the purpose of reviewing candidates for Joliet Fire Department.
