Q4 2022 Recap: 12 parolees from Will County convicted of crimes against persons set for release

There were 12 offenders convicted of crimes against persons living in Will County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Will County Gazette.

The data shows 11 men and one woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against persons was 34. The youngest parolee was a 28-year-old man sentenced in 2015, and the oldest was a 51-year-old man sentenced in 2019.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Tyson Green. He was convicted in 2003 when he was 29 years old. He is now 49.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
