Tinley Village recognized two small businesses. They include the Arts & Crafts Studio by Mucci World owned by Mary Mucci. The organization offers art lessons, therapy art, splat rooms for stress relief.
The business has been in the village for eight years now and has only experienced increased traffic, growing to three times the customer body since the pandemic, The Studio has also become a tourist attraction for out-of-town visitors. Mary thanked everyone who has inspired her and supported the business over the past few years, a village representative said.
"We have added five new artists, local artists that have been with us for a little while now," Mucci said. "We have the kids' day off, the open studio, the Splat Room, which is very exciting, where you get to throw paint at the wall or each other if you want to. I've had a lot of couples come in for that one. It's not [just] for little kids, but for everyone. So you'll enjoy that part. But so we're always adding new things to our offerings. And if you had an idea or wanted to see something new, you just have to let us know and we'll see if we can do it."
The second is Best at Training Studio, run by Naland Best. This operation offers a variety of fitness classes and programs for all ages and programs for all ages and abilities.
Naland Best, of the Training studio, came to thank the board for the recognition as well. They offer Crossfit, boxing, and yoga classes among many others.
