APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Councilman Joe Clement, seconded by Councilman Larry E. Hug, to approve the minutes of the June 7, 2022 Public Safety Committee Minutes.
The motion carried by the following vote:

CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS

PURCHASES
Purchase of Three (3) New Vehicles for Undercover Drug Enforcement
Mr. Price briefly discussed the Purchase of three New Vehicles for Undercover Drug Enforcement.
There was a brief discussion on the price of these vehicles.
A motion was made by Councilman Larry E. Hug, seconded by Councilman Joe Clement, to recommend for approval to the Full Council Purchase of three (3) New Vehicles for Undercover Drug Enforcement.
The motion carried by the following vote:

ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
Intergovernmental Agreement with Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 for the School Resource Officer Program
Deputy Chief Matlock briefly discussed the Intergovernmental Agreement with Plainfield Community School District 202 for the School Resource Officer Program.
A brief discussion was held on this Council Memo.
Corporation Counsel Sabrina Spano entered the room at 5:57 p.m.
The Agreement with Plainfield District 202 will be updated to reflect a $0 balance to match the Joliet Central High School, Joliet West High School, and Joliet Alternate School Agreements.
A motion was made by Councilman Larry E. Hug, seconded by Councilman Joe Clement, to recommend for approval Intergovernmental Agreement with Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 for the School Resource Officer Program once the money amount for District 202 is updated to reflect a $0 balance to match Joliet Central High School, Joliet West High School, and Joliet Alternate School Agreements.
The motion carried by the following vote:

NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION
Councilman Clement asked if there is a vehicle coming for Officer Anton Lakota. Mr. Price said the vehicle is on backorder.
There was a brief conversation on the vehicles that are on backorder.
