Crete will commemorate Memorial Day with a series of events to honor those who sacrificed their lives for freedom. The activities are scheduled for Monday, May 26, 2025.
The day will begin with a memorial service at 11:00 AM at Crete Park South Shelter. This year, the location has been changed to accommodate attendees better. Following the service, a parade will commence at noon. The parade route extends from Crete Park down Main Street to Burville Road.
Attendees should note that there will be no parking available at Crete Park on Memorial Day due to changes in the parade lineup. Participants are encouraged to plan accordingly.
Veterans have designated parking at Willard Wood Park Center and will be transported to the South Shelter by golf cart. Those dropping off veterans can use the parking lot on First Street at Willard Wood Park Center.
