'Thank you': New Tinley Park employees express gratitude for positions

The village of Tinley Park adds four new members to various village positions. Amanda Schreck was added to the position of human resources coordinator by the village board. 

Since 2001 she has worked in a number of customer service and administrative roles in municipal government. She has a Bachelor of Music Education and a Certified Administrative Professional certification. Amanda thanked the board for the chance and said she looked forward to working with everyone.

Randa Firlit was also appointed to the Human resources department, as a generalist. She has nearly two decades in governmental human resources and worked for 10 years in the Air Force’s personnel department. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and experience in all areas of Human resources including employee benefits, payroll, training, recruitment and workers' compensation.

"Good evening. I'm Randa Firlit" she said. "Thank you to the men and women of the board, Mr. President, the administrative team for this opportunity. I'm really looking forward to it and get going. Thank you."

Richard Czajkowski was appointed to the role of building inspector. He has in the past as a building inspector and has a three-decade background in the fire service. He has also worked in construction project management, electrical contracting, fire safety, and life safety management. For the position of maintenance technician Mark Reid was appointed. Reid has worked in public works for the past four years and has CDL and a welding certificate.
