City of Joliet Board of Fire and Police Commissioners met June 1.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

ROLL CALL

Present Herb Lande, Brad Price and Rosa Hernandez

Absent Quinn Adamowski

CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS - None

It is not a question and answer period and staff, and the Commission members do not generally respond to public comments. The City Clerk has a copy of the public speaking procedures; please note, speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the meeting shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak.

Motion to promote Captain James T. Ryan to Battalion Chief Ryan

Motion made by R. Hernandez, seconded by B. Price

Voted unanimously by H. Lande, R. Hernandez and B. Price

Motion to promote Lieutenant Matthew Hornbuckle to Captain Hornbuckle

Motion made by R. Hernandez, seconded by B. Price

Motion to promote Lieutenant Kevin Hargis to Captain Hargis

APPROVAL OF CHANGES IN RULES AND REGULATIONS

After questions and replies with D/C S. Blackburn on the need for the changes, Chairman H. Lande suggested that the issue be tabled until the next meeting when more members of the Board would be present.

H. Lande moved to table, seconded by R. Hernandez.

The three Commissioners who attended the entire meeting (H. Lande, R. Hernandez and B. Price) voted Aye.

Commissioner Purchase (who came in at the end of the meeting), voted Nay. Motion to table carried.

Absent: Adamowski
