Dinesh D’Souza will speak at the Will County Republican Central Committee Annual Freedom Day on June 3.
“The hottest conservative speaker in the nation, Dinesh D'Souza, will be the keynote speaker at Will County Republican Central Committee Annual Freedom Day at the Renaissance Center, 214 N. Ottawa St., Joliet, Illinois on June 3, VIP with Dinesh D'Souza at 6 p.m. (check-in begins at 5:30 p.m.) and the Freedom Dinner at 7 p.m. (check-in begins at 6:30 p.m.),” the Will County Republican said in an email.
D’Souza is fresh off the release of his new documentary, "2000 Mules," which posits that 2,000 Democrat-backed operatives illegally collected ballot drop boxes in swing states during the election.
The movie is available for streaming on Rumble and has grossed more than $1 million in its first 12 hours, according to The Wrap. Comparatively, D'Souza's 2018 pro-Trump documentary, "Death of a Nation," opened in 1,005 theaters to $2.3 million and a per-theater average of $2,345 which is much higher than $1,811 for "2000 Mules."
The Will County GOP is gearing up for the primary to be held on June 28. In the GOP governor’s race, State Sen. Darren Bailey (R-Xenia) has a significant lead in the polls over Jesse Sullivan, McHenry County businessman Gary Ravine, Max Solomon and former state Sen. Paul Schimpf, according to Capitol News Illinois.
Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin is the only other competitive candidate in the race. He has been dogged by his lengthy voting record for Democrats and open support for Black Lives Matter.
Tickets for the freedom day are non-refundable but transferable for this event only and Will County Republican Central Committee should be notified by 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, by emailing them at Contact@WillCountyRepublicans.org.
