Ira Jones Middle School eighth graders experienced an earthquake in the science hall, and they loved it. IJMS students Lamara Brown, Addison Gord and Julia Miller (left to right) put their building to the test on the shake table to see if it would resist the earthquake on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. The students constructed earthquake proof buildings utilizing a budget and with materials such as straws, note cards, pipe cleaners, toothpicks, and other items.
