Village of Elwood Finance Committee met Sept. 28.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The Village of Elwood Finance Committee's regular meeting at 4:00 p.m., was called to order by Finance Director Day.

Present: Finance Director Robbie Day, Committee Member Doug Jenco, and Village Administrator Julie Friebele

Absent: Committee Member Jodie Bertucci

PRESENTATION OF MINUTES

The minutes from the July 27, 2021 meeting were presented and reviewed. Committee Member Jenco made a motion to approve the July 27, 2021 minutes as presented. Committee Member Lab seconded the motion. The motion carried.

PRESENTATION OF BILLS – UNPAID INVOICE REPORT

The unpaid invoice report for $256,018.34 was presented and reviewed. There was a discussion regarding grant expenditure for the $750,000 Captial Improvements Grant. Committee Member Lab made a motion to send the Unpaid Invoice Report to the Village Board for consideration on October 6, 2021. Committee Member Jenco seconded the motion. The motion carried.

PRESENTATION OF BILLS – PAID INVOICE REPORT

The paid invoice report from 08/24/2021 through 08/31/2021 and 09/02/2021 through 09/27/2021 in the amount of $3,650,018.44 was presented and reviewed. There was a discussion regarding Bank of New York property tax payment and normal monthly expenses. Committee Member Lab made a motion to send the Paid Invoice Report as presented to the Village Board for consideration on October 6, 2021. Committee Member Jenco seconded the motion. The motion carried.

MONTHLY FINANCIAL REPORT

The monthly report for August 2021 was presented and reviewed. The committee discussed the benchmark overage/shortfalls for August 2021. Committee Member Jenco made a motion to send the monthly financial report as presented to the Village Board on October 6, 2021. Committee Member Lab seconded the motion. The motion carried.
