City of Joliet issued the following announcement on Apr. 9.
April Is National Safe Digging Month. National Safe Digging Month serves as a reminder to all people who excavate or dig to call 811 before digging to have the approximate location of their utility lines marked. If you don’t call before digging, you could knock out utility service, injure yourself or face fines. Always #Call811 before putting a shovel in the ground.
