Will County will have a reason to celebrate when Tyler Lancaster takes the field this Sunday for the Packers.
Lancaster played at Plainfield East High School at center and did not give up a sack in three years as a starter.
Although he was the sixth highest ranked center in the nation he signaled a position change.
He graduated in 2013, committing to Northwestern over four other Division I offers. In his sophomore year he transitioned to defensive tackle ending his career with 55 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
Lancaster was signed by the Packers in 2018 as an undrafted free agent. In three years he has had 78 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
Lancaster and the Green Bay Packers will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Green Bay on Sunday, Jan. 24 at 2:05 p.m.
