U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R–Ill.) was slammed by a Trump administration alum who reminded Kinzinger about his constituents after he downplayed voter fraud concerns.
Kinzinger represent the 16th District which voted overwhelmingly for Trump.
"The 'Justice' Department and the FBI have done nothing about the 2020 Presidential Election Voter Fraud, the biggest SCAM in our nation’s history, despite overwhelming evidence," Trump tweeted Dec. 26. "They should be ashamed. History will remember. Never give up. See everyone in D.C. on January 6th."
Kinzinger, however, disagreed with Trump's tweet, saying there wasn't any evidence.
"My God," Kinzinger tweeted. "Trying to burn the place down on the way out because you can’t handle losing. No evidence, nothing but your temper tantrum and crazy conspiracies. Embarrassing.
Catalina Lauf, a former Congressional candidate and a Trump Administration alum, told Kinzinger to be mindful of his constituents.
"There are 70+ mill people (and many live in your district) who voted for POTUS @realDonaldTrump," Lauf tweeted. "They, WE the American people have every right to believe this election was not practiced/executed in good faith. Your brand of GOP lost in 2016 and IL Republicans don’t want it back."
One Twitter user replied to Lauf's comment saying that Trump easily won the election.
"Trump won in a landslide, it was organized fraud in the swing states," the user replied. "There is a mountain of evidence that the courts will not even look at. Most everyone knows this and the rest are in denial. The war has just started."
Another called Kinzinger a RINO, meaning "Republican in Name Only" and urged Trump to get him out of Congress.
Others also slammed Kinzinger for his comments, one saying he "might as well be a Democrat," and another calling him a lost cause. Another user said Kinzinger had his head in the sand.
