City of Joliet issued the following announcement on Nov. 7.
The Illinois Restaurant Association Educational Foundation has opened a grant of up to $500 to directly support restaurant employees facing an unforeseen hardship due to covid.
Current qualification requirements are:
• Workers who have been diagnosed with coronavirus or are a caregiver for an immediate family member who has been diagnosed with coronavirus, or quarantined with a doctor’s note, or
• Out of work for three weeks or more without unemployment benefits.
