City of Joliet issued the following announcement on July 29.
The Illinois Department of Transportation in partnership with the City of Joliet invites the public to learn more and comment about the preliminary engineering and environmental studies for the Interstate 55 Access Study in Will County. This is a project that impacts access to I-55 near Joliet and Shorewood. Instead of hosting a regular public meeting, IDOT will share details on the project and encourage public participation beginning Tuesday, July 7 until August 4, 2020 via interactive website.
