Analysis: Channahon pays $4.28 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Channahon Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 81.1 percent of the $1,000,219 the Channahon Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.28 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Channahon contributed $811,042 to the fund, which saw a $211,286 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $189,177, or 18.9 percent, in 2018.
