CITY OF LOCKPORT: Construction Project Open House

City of Lockport issued the following announcement on Nov. 11.

2020 Water Main & Roadway Reconstruction Project

Open Houses will be held regarding the proposed infrastructure improvements planned to begin next year. Project engineers will provide an overview of the proposed project and will be available to answer any questions. An Open House will be held on two evenings for the following project areas:

Tuesday, November 19, 6:00-7:30 p.m.

13th Street to 19th Street, and State Street to Lawrence Avenue

Public Works Department

17112 Prime Boulevard

Thursday, November 21, 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Thornton Street to 8th Street, and State Street to Madison Street

The proposed improvements are anticipated to include roadway reconstruction of approximately 6,800 lineal feet of center-line including existing asphalt pavement removal, new concrete curb and gutter, hot mix asphalt (HMA) pavement and driveway aprons. Utility infrastructure improvements include storm water management consisting of the construction of new inlets, manholes and storm sewer pipe; new water main and water service construction; sanitary sewer lining; and related restoration including sodding and temporary erosion control.

The proposed improvements are anticipated to include roadway reconstruction of approximately 7,500 lineal feet of centerline including existing asphalt pavement removal, new concrete curb and gutter, hot mix asphalt (HMA) pavement and driveway aprons. Utility infrastructure improvements include storm water management consisting of the construction of new inlets, manholes and storm sewer pipe; new water main and water service construction; sanitary sewer lining; and related restoration including sodding and temporary erosion control.
