Do you have a Power of Attorney for Health Care? Would you like to get one drafted with the help of a licensed attorney for free?
If you become sick, injured or disabled and are unable to make your own health care decisions do you know what will happen? Are you sure the person or persons who you trust will be making the decisions for you? Do they know what you want and what's most important to you; the quality of your life or the quantity of your life? A legally executed Power of Attorney for Health Care can help you avoid many of the pitfalls families can face when a loved one becomes unable to make their own health care decisions.
On Wednesday September 4, 2019, our attorneys will be volunteering their time and expertise to assist local residents in drafting and executing Illinois Powers of Attorney for Health Care. We will discuss how the power of attorney works, what's covered and what's not, some of the considerations you need to take into account and things you may want to consider in naming who will be your power of attorney.
This event is being co-hosted by Fountaindale Public Library and, due to limited space and time, advanced registration will be required. Registrations will be accepted by Fountaindale Library starting on August 14, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. and, after that date, you will be able to follow this link to register: https://communico.fountaindale.org/event/2856092
Again, an RSVP to this Facebook event will not save you a space for the event - you must register through Fountaindale Library.
