Village of Rockdale Village Board met May 20.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

1. Call Meeting to Order. Village Board President Nelles called the regular meeting of the Rockdale Village Board to order at 6:00 p.m. in the Robert M. Smithback Rockdale Community Center.

2. Attendance Roll Call.

Village Board Members Present: Julie Nelles, Jeri Boden, Alicia Hynes and Cynthia Meyers

Village Board Members Absent: Sandra Yearman

Others Present: Terri Van Den Einde and Linda Dieckhoff

3. Announce Meeting/Reminder for Attendees to Sign In. President Nelles announced the meeting and reminded attendees to sign-in.

4. Acknowledgement of Meeting Notice/Posting. Clerk-Treasurer Dieckhoff confirmed the meeting had been properly posted.

5. President’s Welcome/Announcements. President Nelles welcomed all visitors.

a. Board of Review will be held June 5, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

6. Preview of Agenda. No changes.

7. Public Comment – Two Minute Limit Per Person. None

8. Discussion and possible approval of Village Board draft minutes of April 15, 2019.

Motion by Boden, second by Nelles, to approve the draft minutes of the April 15, 2019 meeting. Meyers abstained. Motion carried 3-0.

9. Old Business.

a. Discussion and possible action regarding approval of leaf and brush pick-up letter.

Motion by Hynes, second by Boden, to approve leaf and brush pick-up letter to be mailed with the next Sewer Utility bills. Motion carried 4-0.

b. Discussion and possible action regarding police protection. Board reviewed info and will bring back for review next month.

10. New Business.

a. Discussion and possible action regarding 2018 financial statements and audit results for the Village of Rockdale prepared by Johnson Block & Co.

Motion by Hynes, second Nelles, the board has reviewed and accepts the 2018 Financial Statements and Audit Results prepared by Johnson Block & Co. Motion carried 4-0.

b. Discussion and possible approval of Ordinance No. 2019-02 to Create Chapter 18 Board of Review of the Municipal Code.

Motion by Hynes, second by Meyers, to approve Ordinance No. 2019-02 to Create Chapter 18 Board of Review of the Municipal Code. Motion carried 4-0.

c. Discussion and possible action regarding amending 2019 User Fee Schedule.

Motion by Boden, second by Nelles, to approve amending the 2019 User Fee Schedule. Motion carried 4-0.

d. Discussion and possible action regarding nuisances. No action was taken.

11. Public Comment – Two Minute Limit Per Person. None.

12. Correspondence.

a. General Engineering – April 2019 Report. Placed on file.

b. Friends of Cambridge annual CAEMS Cannonball Run. – Placed on file.

c. Dane County Parks repair of stairs at former Mill Site. – Clerk to check with Darren Marsh of Dane County to see if a railing is going to be installed.

13. Discussion and possible approval of Treasurer’s Report/Approval of Bills. Motion by Nelles, second by Boden, to approve the Treasurer’s Report and checks #6456 - #6466 and ATM in the amount of $6,400.20. Motion carried 4-0.

14. Discussion and possible approval of General Village Bank Reconciliations. Motion by Boden, second by Hynes, to approve the General Village Bank Reconciliations for April 2019. Motion carried 4-0.

15. Discussion and possible approval of Sewer Clerk Report/Approval of Bills. Motion by Nelles, second by Hynes, to approve checks #5896 - #5898 in the amount of $2,032.22. Motion carried 4-0.

16. Discussion and possible approval of Sewer Bank Reconciliations.

Motion by Hynes, second by Boden, to approve the Sewer Bank Reconciliations for April 2019. Motion carried 4-0.

17. Any Other Business.

Boden asked if there was an update on the street construction project. Clerk has not heard anything yet.

18. Adjournment. Motion by Nelles, second by Hynes, to adjourn at 6:55 p.m. Motion carried 4-0.
