Matter of Balance Coach Refresher Training

The Annual MOB Coach Refresher Training was held on March 28, 2019 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the New Lenox Public Library. Laura was the lead instructor and did a great job refreshing 14 MOB Coaches from New Lenox (11) and Frankfort (3). Laura noted there were a few that did not attend, but they were not required to as they completed the MOB Coach

Training within the last 12 months.

On a related note, Laura advised that Sherry Sherdin will no longer be coaching MOB classes.

Dan advised that he would remove her from the Older Adults Falls Prevention Task Group and New Lenox Safe Communities America Coalition email lists.

Thus far, the make-up of the class is from the last two Matter of Balance Classes, a recent AARP Smart Driver Course, and a few repeats from Fit and Strong Class #5.

During the discussion, Colette Loecke requested to be added to the class if there is room.

Colette’s plans have changed for this summer so she will be able to attend the class if there’s room.
