2018 Recap: Parolees in Aurora convicted of crimes against justice

There were three offenders convicted of crimes against justice released on parole in Aurora during 2018, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Will County Gazette.

The data shows that two men and one woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against justice was 28. The youngest parolee was a 25-year-old man sentenced in 2018, and the oldest was a 35-year-old man sentenced in 2017.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Dayonna Tyler. She was convicted of a crime against justice in 2014 when she was 20 years old. She is now 26.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in 2018 who were convicted of crimes against justice.
