The data shows that 52 men and nine women were released in Aurora. The median age of the parolees was 36. The youngest parolee is a 20-year-old man sentenced for crimes involving one or more weapons in 2017, and the oldest is a 67-year-old man sentenced for crimes involving drugs in 2016.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest is Danny Trail. He was convicted of crimes against a person in 1998 when he was 26 years old. He is now 47.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
