The Homer Township budget was $12.87 million for its 2016 fiscal year.

That's a decrease of 4.9 percent from 2015, when the township spent $13.53 million.

Homer Township has a population of 39,059.

Since 2001, the Homer Township budget has grown by 3.2 percent, from $12.46 million. The township population has grown 34.7 percent over the same period, from 29,000.

Salaries accounted for 13.6 percent of township spending in 2016. Homer Township property taxpayers paid $1.75 million for 34 full-time employees and eight part-time employees.
