Elwood home prices rise in August 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2017 in Elwood rose by $8,511.50 while total sales decreased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2017, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $164,000 - a 5.5% increase over the $155,488.50 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in Elwood in August 2016.

The median sales tax in Elwood for 2017 was $3,500.82. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,445.60. This marks an increase of 1.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.1%.
