Administrators in Channahon School District 17 earn an average of $110,202 per year, ranking 232nd out of 864 districts in the state, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 7.5% higher than in 2014 and 13.8% higher than in 2009. District administrators make 2.7% more than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Will County school district enrolled 1307 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 187 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
