Mr. Balich moved to approve the Award of Contract in the Amount of $26,384.00 to Currie Motors of Frankfort, Illinois to Purchase (1) 2019 Ford F250 Crew Cab Pickup utilizing the South Suburban Purchasing Cooperative Contract; seconded by Ms. Dollinger.

Mr. Balich moved for the Approval of Resolution No. 18-12 Declaring Truck #154, a 2006 Ford F250 Crew Cab Pickup as Surplus and Authorizing its Disposal; seconded by Mr. Moran.

4. Rejection of Bids for the Whalon Lake Improvements.

Chief Operating Officer Schultz explained the rejection of bids for the Whalon Lake Improvements. The lowest bid was more than $100,000.00 higher than Engineer's estimate for the project. Staff recommended to reject all bids, value engineering of the bid documents and rebidding at a future date.

H. REPORTS

1. 2019 Events Schedule

Chief Operating Officer Schultz introduced the Forest Preserve 2019 Schedule which include: four (4) Facility Events, five (5) On -Loan Exhibitions, one (1) Rock the Woods Concert, twelve (12) Food Truck Fridays adding Messenger Marsh. Forest Preserve will continue the Woods Walk, a three month trail walking challenge. Schultz also noted a donation from the Nature Foundation in the amount of $15,000.

I. COMMENTS BY PUBLIC

J. COMMENTS BY COMMISSIONERS

Chief Operating Officer Schultz passed around two (2) knife points that were found by the Arcadis Environmental Engineering Survey Firm hired by Exxon Mobile to do a stream study at our Fork Creek Preserve. One of the knife points dates back 5,000 years ago and the other one about 2,000-2,500 years ago. These two knife points will be cataloged and kept at our Isle a la Cache Museum.
