Lindsay Parkhurst led Democrat Lisa M Dugan in votes cast in Will County for the District 79 state House race, according to the latest vote count.

Parkhurst appeared to outpace Dugan by a margin of 37.5 percent on Tuesday in the county.

In comparison, the 2014 winner, Republican Glenn Nixon, won by a margin of 42.8 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Democrat Katherine "kate" Cloonen, who received 537 votes to Nixon's 1,339.
