Mueller, Fritz among winners in Will County Board races

The results of the Will County Board races have been released.

Democrat Laurie Summers and Republican Judy Ogalla have been declared winners in the County Board Member District 1 race. With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Summers had 40.82 percent of the vote with a total of 9,421 votes. Ogalla had 35.08 percent of the vote with a total of 8,098 votes. Democrat Bob Howard, who was also in the running, received 24.10 percent of the vote with a total of 5,563 votes.

Republican James Moustis and Democrat Amanda L. Koch have been declared winners in the County Board District 2 race. With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Moustis had 37.33 percent of the vote with a total of 11,061 votes. Koch had 34.49 percent of the vote with a total of 10,218 votes. Republican Keith Ogle, who was also in the running, received 28.18 percent of the vote with a total of 8,348 votes.

Democrat Meta Mueller and Republican Gretchen Fritz have been declared winners in the County Board District 5 race. Other candidates in the running were Democrat Mazyar M. Hedayat and Republican Darren Bennefield. With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Mueller had 29.73 percent of the vote with a total of 8,836 votes. Fritz had 27.47 percent of the vote with a total of 8,164 votes. Hedayat received 21.63 percent of the vote with a total of 6,428 votes while Bennefield received 21.18 percent of the vote with a total of 6,295 votes.

Republican Don Gould and Democrat Joe VanDuyne have been declared winners in the County Board District 6 race. With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Gould had 42.61 percent of the vote with a total of 13,214 votes. VanDuyne had 31.63 percent of the vote with a total of 9,808 votes. Republican Debbie Militello, who is also in the running, received 25.75 percent of the vote with a total of 7,986 votes.

Republicans Stephen J. Balich and Mike Fricilone has been declared winners in the County Board District 7 race. With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Balich had 40.79 percent of the vote with a total of 11,109 votes. Fricilone had 30.71 percent of the vote with a total of 8,365 votes. Democrat Kyle P. Killacky received 28.50 percent of the vote with a total of 7,763 votes.

Democrat Rachel F. Ventura and Republican Annette Parker have been declared winners in the County Board District 9 race. With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Ventura had 39.60 percent of the vote with a total of 8,552 votes. Parker had 32.04 percent of the vote with a total of 6,920 votes. Democrat Jim Murphy, who was also in the running, received 28.35 percent of the vote with a total of 6,123 votes.

Republican Julie Anne Berkowicz and Democrat Michelle Cowan have been declared winners in the County Board District 11 race. Other candidates in the running were Republican Kathy Havel and Democrat Jim Kopchok. With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Berkowicz had 28.47 percent of the vote with a total of 10,309 votes. Cowan had 28.06 percent of the vote with a total of 10,159 votes. Havel received 22.63 percent of the vote with a total of 8,193 votes while Kopchok received 20.84 percent of the vote with a total of 7,545 votes.
