The City of Joliet Fire Department issued the following announcement on Oct. 23.
On Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018 Waste Management will begin their garbage and recycling pick-up at 6 a.m. instead of the regularly scheduled 7 a.m. This early pick-up has been scheduled to ensure all trucks are off the street in time for trick-or-treating to begin at 4 p.m. in Joliet.
Residents are encouraged to have their receptacles out to the curb by 6 a.m. on this day and are welcome to put their receptacles out as early as 6 p.m. the night before.
Any residents who experience a missed pick-up on this day should call Waste Management at (815) 280-7854.
Please note that this early pick-up is for Wednesday, Oct. 31 only. No other days other than Wednesday, Oct. 31 are affected.
