Channahon Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept. 27.
Fall leaves are scheduled for pick up by Waste Management from October 1 to November 30. Leaves must be in biodegradable bags and placed out for collection with regular garbage; no prepaid sticker is required on the regular pick up day.
There is unlimited leaf collection on Saturday, November 3 and 17. Leaves for this collection can be placed in any rigid container that is 32 gallons or less, or biodegradable bags; no prepaid stickers required. Leaves must be at curbside by 6:00 a.m. Plastic bags are not accepted for any leaf collection at any time.
