52 percent of applicants to University of St Francis were admitted for fall 2017

At University of St Francis, 75 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 65 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Joliet enrolled 4,166 students in fall 2017, including 1,599 in undergraduate and 2,567 in graduate programs, data shows. 12.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

87 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 11 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (62 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (20 percent).

The school admitted 52 percent of the 1,560 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 28 percent enrolled.
