Graduates earn 1,905 degrees, certificates from Lewis University

About 26.3 percent of the 1,905 degrees and certificates handed out by the Lewis University in 2016-17 were to students in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Romeoville conferred 270 bachelor's degrees and 231 master's degrees in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Data shows the school gave out 186 bachelor's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, followed by 129 bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice/Safety Studies and 102 master's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General.

The university enrolled 6,544 students for 2016-17, including 4,553 in undergraduate programs and 1,991 in graduate programs.
