Report: New Lenox spent $10,585 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at New Lenox School District 122 is up 8 percent from five years ago, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Will County school district spent $9,826 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,585 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 5302 to 5221.

New Lenox's spending in 2016-17 was 18 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
